Opening Dates - 2025

The campsite opens on Tuesday 1st April and closes on Sunday 5th October.

Payment

You will be asked to pay a deposit at the time of booking, if the arrival date of your booking is within 14 days you will be asked to pay the full amount. (Note that completing a booking enquiry form does not constitute a booking. You only have a booking when a deposit has been paid). The outstanding balance is payable 14 days prior to the arrival date..

Deposit

The deposit must be paid within 24 hours to secure the booking.

The deposit is calculated as the maximum of 25% or £30.00, unless the total booking fee is less in which case the total fee is payable.

Refunds

If you cancel your booking:

  • With 14 days clear notice - we will refund the full amount paid*, otherwise no refund will be given.
  • If you do not arrive on the agreed date the booking is void and no refund will be given.
  • If you leave before the end of your booked stay no refund will be given.

Note:*An admin fee of £10.00 will be charged on all refunds for cancelled bookings.

Camping Rules

Arrival / Departure

You should arrive on the site between 1:00pm and 7:00pm. On the day of your departure you should leave by 11:00am.

Noise

Please keep the campsite quiet - No loud music and no music at all after 9:00pm. Due to potential noise, generators can not be used on site.

Electrical Hookups

Do not charge electrical vehicles from the hookups, there are EV charging points available in Bellingham and Hexham. No electrical heaters in tents.

Groups

We do not accept party groups, and reserve the right to turn away such bookings.

Children

All individuals under 18 must be accompanied by at least 1 adult.

Dogs

Dogs need to be kept on a lead at all times whilst on the site. Noisy or unruly dogs will not be tolerated, owners may be asked to leave if the issue persists, Please don't allow your dog to foul the site. Do not leave your dog unsupervised on the site.

BBQs'

Barbecues for cooking are fine. Please place it on a concrete block to protect the grass. Blocks are provided next to the wind turbine and in the area between the 2 camping fields.

Fences

Please don't climb on, or over, fences. This damages the fencing and can be dangerous - there are some steep drops beyond some fences. There are safe footpaths down to the burn near the Warksburn picnic area.

Fires

No fires of any kind are allowed on the site.

Litter

Please keep the campsite clean and use the bins provided. Do not put glass in the rubbish or recycling bins.

Recycling

Please use the yellow recycling bins for paper, card, cans, tins and plastic bottles. Glass can be recycled in the village, the bottle bank is next to the community hall.
