Discover our Campsite
The campsite is close to the quiet village of Stonehaugh (pronounced Stone-Hoff) which was designed in 1951 as a village for the Forestry Commission workers at the time when Wark forest was being planted. The site is comparatively flat and is therefore suitable for tents, campervans, caravans and motor homes.
The campsite is kinder to the environment, with a wind
turbine on site providing power to the site, and the water heated by solar panels.
The campsite is set
on the edge of the Wark forest, and has been in existence in one form or another since the 1950s.
We are rated as a 3 star camping and touring park by ‘Visit England’. View report.
